On todays edition of our roundtable, we bring on two of our podcast regulars and resident hockey pucks - Eric Duhatschek & Mike Harrington to talk some NHL news with Bob and John.
We first address our guests respective teams, the Calgary Flames & Buffalo Sabres. We talk about the large amount of COVID-19 cases in Calgary and the state the league is in overall before we bounce around various topics amongst the Canadian NHL teams focusing on the resurgence of the Vancouver Canucks under Bruce Boudreau and the struggling Montreal Canadiens.

Before we speak to author, Journalist and friend of the show - Damien Cox - John surprises Bob with a quick visit from the hottest coach in the National Hockey League, Bruce Boudreau.
The three spend the first ten minutes of the show discussing Bruce's first five games (all wins) as the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks. We talk about the adjustments he has made already, his coaching staff and his popularity in the city before we let the coach go and bring in Damien.
We then discuss the grey cup and the CFL with Damien as we try to figure out ways that could make the Canadian Football League relevant once more.
To end the show, we talk about Steph Curry's record breaking game & the evolution of how the game of basketball is played.

Special Assistant to the NHLPA Executive Director, Mathieu Schneider joins the show to chat with Bob and John.
The three talk, in length, about the prospect of the NHL players participating in the Winter Olympics hosted in Beijing, where his priorities lie on the matter and just how different the Olympic experience will be if the players do decide to attend.
We also talk about the potential of there being another World Cup of Hockey in the near future as well as get an update from the NHLPA on the Kyle Beach investigation.

General Manager of the Dallas stars joins the podcast in the middle of a road trip to talk some hockey with Bob and John.
The three discuss the teams slow start to the NHL season and how they've managed to turn things around. We talk about Jim's relationship with head coach Rick Bowness, as well as the difficulties that come with managing a team isolated in Texas. We learn about the different ways a GM has to approach scouting players and teams based off of the geographical location of their hockey club.

With today marking the first lockout in Major League Baseball since 1994 we bring in our friend Shi Davidi to tell us everything we need to know about this labour stoppage.
From player's reactions to the league's, Shi gives us some insight on the overall feel for the stoppage around the league while letting fans know what to expect from this lockout and how long it could actually take.
We discuss the massive amounts of money spent on free agents in the days leading up to the labour stoppage and if there is a correlation between the two.
We also spend some time on the Toronto Blue Jays, their moves made so far and where they stand heading into the work stoppage. We go over some players who might be able to fill Marcus Semien's position at 2B and whether or not they should pay Cavan Biggio big money or just let him walk.

The three analyze the personnel changes made by the Montreal Canadiens, what the new Executive VP of Hockey Operations, Jeff Gorton's first move should be and who should be the next General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
The foursome then move on to the Vancouver Canucks and ask why they haven't fired anyone yet. Many opinions are thrown out and the four can't seem to decide who's at fault for their poor play - the players, coaches or management?
In the second block of the roundtable, the four get into the Toronto Maple Leafs, what they have changed in terms of on ice play from last year and wonder if this is the year that Leafs fans can finally be confident in their team heading into the playoffs.
